It's been an exciting week at Beadnall Copley - particularly for our Wetherby office - as one of their for sale properties has been used as a film location for the second series of 'Gentleman Jack'.

Set in 1832 West Yorkshire, Gentleman Jack is based on the true story of Halifax landowner and industrialist Anne Lister, with the part of Anne played by actress Suranne Jones.

Ashfield Cottage in the village of Thorner on the outskirts of Leeds was just one West Yorkshire setting for this week's filming, with the property transformed into a 1830's labourer's cottage.  Originally built as three worker's cottages and now one whole property, Ashfield Cottage was the perfect location and setting for the hugely popular BBC One period drama.  The owners of Ashfield Cottage were excited to be involved and local residents were reportedly equally excited to see both Suranne Jones and fellow actor George Costigan who plays the part of Anne Lister's coal steward James Holt, there on their local Main Street.

We can't wait to see the finished episode as soon as the second series is released.
